Vintage Black, Red and White Shibori Dyed Silk Jacquard Kimono Jacket - I4541
Vintage kimono jacket hand-stitched by kimono makers in Japan Previously worn but exterior and interior are in good condition.
Silk jacket with dramatic large patterns of intertwining white dots. Shibori dye method was used to resist dye the silk with a fawn dot pattern called kanoko.
The pink and white silk lining has a floral pattern. There is light patina on the lining that looks like pale tea colored spots in places. This is typical of light colored silk over time but won't affect wear.
Features the traditional hanging sleeve of a kimono. Measures 52" from sleeve tip to tip. Length is 32" from back of neck and 33" including collar. Chest area is 48". Haori jackets do not wrap, are worn open. Hip area across the back is 24.5". Close to fitting a size 10-12-14.
