Haori I4612- kimono jacket hand-stitched by kimono makers in Japan Previously worn but exterior and interior are in excellent condition.
Dramatic, op art silk jacket with black and white diamond patterns highlighted with large fan prints. Two of the fan shapes on the back and one on the shoulder have gold couching, metallic threads hand stitched on to create outlines. The effect is quite striking.
Lined in a pink and white water patterned jacquard weave silk. The weave has the manji symbol, used in Buddhism, and is not a swastika.
Features the traditional hanging sleeve of a kimono. Measures 52" from sleeve tip to tip. Length is 31" from back of neck and 33" including collar. Chest area is 49". Haori jackets do not wrap, are worn open. Hip area across the back is 25". Fits near size 10-12-14.
