Vintage Copper and Green Shibori Dyed Kimono Jacket - Haori I4614
Vintage kimono jacket hand-stitched by kimono makers in Japan
Silk jacket with an allover fawn dot pattern produced by shibori dye method. There are helix and floral shapes produced by tying small areas of cloth and resist dyeing them.
There was a mistake made in the dye process resulting in a thicker line of dye running horizontally on both front and back (photo 5) and along the back left shoulder (photo 4).
Lined in a cute silk fabric with frolicking Chinese babies.
Features the traditional hanging sleeve of a kimono. Measures 52" from sleeve tip to tip. Length is 30" from back of neck and 32" including collar. Chest area is 49". Haori jackets do not wrap, are worn open. Hip area across the back is 24.5". Close to fitting a size 10-12.
