Japanese Kimono Scarf S3048 - Forest Green Chirimen Silk Floral
Silk scarf with a twist in the weave, making it spongy in texture. The Japanese love their chirimen silk fabrics, which are less prone to wrinkles.
This was sewn from a vintage kimono panel
Dark green base with a gorgeous mix of flower shapes including karabana, the imaginary Chinese flower
Other colors are plum, gold, blue and soft red.
There is a tiny bit of gold metallic thread woven in here so you will see a slight sparkle on the surface in scattered places.
Measures 59" x 6.75" wide, shorter than many scarves here. You can place a tape measure at your neck to see where the scarf will fall.
Japanese Kimono Scarf S3048 - Forest Green Chirimen Silk Floral
Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
