Japanese Kimono Scarf S3056 - Orange with Karabana Patterns Chirimen Silk
Karabana is a pattern known as "imaginary Chinese flower" in Japan, a charming flower form with colorful and ornate designs One of my favorite patterns!
This scarf has a hand dyed base of pumpkin chirimen silk with dyed flowers in blue, green, orange and gold.
Chirimen silk has a spongy texture from twists in the weave.
Styled from a vintage kimono robe panel so it is shorter than other scarves
Measures 61" x 6.5" wide.
Japanese Kimono Scarf S3056 - Orange with Karabana Patterns Chirimen Silk
Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
