Japanese Kimono Scarf S3079 - Skinny Whisper Soft Shibori Fawn Dot
Very soft and light weight silk with little pale multi-colored dots of orange, gold, blue and green which were tied off in a method known as shibori. This creates a little raised area when the threads used for dyeing the patterns are removed. The dots form leaf shapes with tiny flowers.
This fabric was taken from a vintage kimono panel for a nagajuban, the slip version of a kimono.
The color of the base is very pale and can pass for ivory but leans towards pale green.
Measures 62" x 5.5" wide.

Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
