Japanese Kimono Scarf S3121 - Tan Peace Chirimen Silk
Silk scarf with a twist in the weave, making it spongy in texture. The Japanese love their chirimen silk fabrics, which are less prone to wrinkles.
This was sewn from a vintage kimono panel
A beautiful, neutral colored silk which has been stencil dyed with subtle floral patterns on a diagonal grid.
There is a slight fold line from its life as a kimono panel (last photo), which you can flip over to hide.
Measures 63" x 6.5" wide, shorter than many scarves here.
Japanese Kimono Scarf S3121 - Tan Peace Chirimen Silk
Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
