Scarf 410 - Shibori dyed cotton was used in this unusual scarf with large sunflower patterns. Fabric has a raised texture created by tying off sections with thread and dipping them into the dye bath. To keep the bumpy appearance it is best to dry clean and to instruct not to iron. Measures 60" x 9 without stretching it.
Due to the hand made nature of this fabric a few of the white areas have some yellow hue (see last photo) but the overall appearance is fine.
If you would like a longer version of this, about 67", please contact me.
Kimono Scarf 410 - Indigo shibori dyed
Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
