Obiage Scarf I2858 - Silk obiage from Japan originally worn under an obi but now used as a neck scarf. Measures 60" x 12", narrows to 8" in the shibori dyed areas. A nice geranium color; each white spot has been individually resist dyed. Short edges are pinked. There are a few dyeing inconsistencies.
Kimono Scarf I2858
Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
