Obiage Scarf I4082 - Lightweight silk obiage from Japan originally worn under an obi but now used as aneck scarf. Measures 56" x 11" at the ends, narrows to 6" in the shibori dyed areas. Those areas have pretty gold metallic thread crane patterns.Unfortunately I took all three photos of the back of the scarf so you can't see the details.There is a gold spot about 1/4" around about 16" from one short end.Short edges are pinked.
Kimono Scarf I4082
Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
