Haori I367- fabulous purple silk kimono jacket hand-stitched by kimono makers in Japan Previously worn but exterior and interior are in good condition.
Smooth and soft silk jacket with allover shibori dyeing. Some patterns are fawn dot and others are temari balls, a traditional Japanese craft.
The lining is a soft gold and orange leaf patterned silk. The sleeve lining has hand embroidery (photo 6). The lower sleeve lining on the left side has a small hole (photo 9).
This haori is very special for it's dyed pattern and is in good condition. It has some fading from age, more towards the upper areas, and the left front chest has a few tiny holes that extend into the lining (photo 8). The dyed areas have a bit of smudging but ares till beautiful.
Features the traditional hanging sleeve of a kimono. Measures 49" from sleeve tip to tip. Length is 34" from back of neck and 36" including collar. Chest area is 45". Haori jackets do not wrap, are worn open. Hip area across the back is 25". Fits near size 8-10-12.
