Haori KY227 - kimono jacket hand-stitched by kimono makers in Japan Previously worn but exterior and interior are in excellent condition.
This jacket shows virtually no wear and is a spectacular shibori dyed textile.
Soft white silk jacquard treated with the shibori tie dye method to resist areas which form areas of fawn dot shibori (kanoko) and larger oval areas. These sections are raised and softly nubby. The patterns created are bamboo leaf, water and abstract berries? The coloring is very nice and the placement very pleasing.
Lined in a soft pastel colored silk with sort of a plaid pattern.
Features the traditional hanging sleeve of a kimono. Measures 52" from sleeve tip to tip. Length is 31" from back of neck and 33" including collar. Chest area is 46".
Haori jackets do not wrap, are worn open. Hip area across the back is 25". Fits near size 10-12-14.
