Haori KY26- kimono jacket hand-stitched by kimono makers in Japan Previously worn but exterior and interior are in very good condition.
Soft and wonderfully light weight silk jacket with allover kanoko (fawn dot) shibori dyeing mingled with grid patterns. These designs are all tied by hand to resist the dye and then released.
The color is a deep raspberry red with some orangy-red and purple hues. The ninth photo shows an area of imperfect shibori dyeing but that is the beauty of these textiles.
Lined in a soft white and pink silk with tassel and maple leaf patterns. There is a spot on the lining near the back of the neck. I wouldn't be too worried about it because it is hidden from view.
Features the traditional hanging sleeve of a kimono. Measures 54" from sleeve tip to tip. Length is 32" from back of neck and 34" including collar. Chest area is 48". Haori jackets do not wrap, are worn open. Hip area across the back is 26.5". Fits near size 12 -14-16.
