This is a traditional scarf called obiage which is worn under a Japanese obi
I found that it makes a fantastic neck scarf!
Chirimen silk has a twist in the fibers, making it slightly spongy. It helps to resist wrinkles also.
This has delicate flowers, some tipped with gold metallic fabric paint.
The edges of obiage are not sewn under, they are merely pinked.
