Vintage Japanese Dark Green & Gold Beaded Fabric Handbag H2318 Purse Bamboo Leaf Patterns
Vintage Japanese bag of silk fabric covered with seed beads and with a wonderful design.
This is a beaded bag from Japan with detailed bamboo leaf patterns on the front and back stitched with seed beads.   The light makes the beads very shiny.   Their colors are shades of green, purple and gold and are iridescent to reflect the light.
All the beads are present and intact.  The metal trim at top is ornate and a bit darkened with age.
Measures 8.5" across, 6" high and 2" wide.   Lined in green silk satin with 2 tiny inside pockets.    The lining is slightly scuffed.
The beaded handle has a 5" drop and is securely attached.
