Vintage Japanese Gold Silk Brocade Cherry Blossom Fabric Hand Bag H1294 Purse - vintage Japanese bag with silk and metallic threads fabric. The threads are shiny, making it dressy in nature.
The fabric has a glow from the metallic threads which are 2 shades of gold in a diamond pattern. The design on the front has pretty pastel cherry blossoms swept to one side.
The outside fabric is very clean and intact. The back of the bag is a plainer gold weave. Since the photo was taken a tiny dimple has been created on the back from leaning against another purse but I feel it will smooth out. The bottom of the bag has a tiny image woven in which might be the initials of the maker.
Measures 8.5" in length, 5.5" high and 1.5" wide. Lined in pale gold taffeta fabric with one small inside pocket.
Has a metal chain with 6" drop. The shiny gold chain is on hinges which fold flat to hide the chain inside the bag for a clutch style.
