Haori H624 - vintage silk kimono jacket hand-stitched by kimono makers in Japan May have been previously worn but exterior and interior are in very good condition for its age. I don't think
that this jacket was ever worn.
Black silk habitue jacket with a very soft and smooth hand and a special hand painted lining. This is a traditional jacket for a man but can be worn by all.
The exterior is solid black dyed with the five family crests (kamon) that identify a particular Japanese family.
On the reverse side the lining is a soft blue silk hand painted with a temple (?) scene among the pines. You can wear this one both sides. The only raw edge is on the bottom edge of the sleeve facing and that area has been tacked with thread to keep it flat.
The exterior and interior look in great condition. Someone has cared for this.
Features the traditional sleeve of a kimono. Measures 52" from sleeve tip to tip. Length is 36" from back of neck and 38" including collar. Chest area is 48". Haori jackets do not wrap, are worn open. Hip area across the back is 25.5".
