Vintage Japanese Kimono Scarf S5868 - Sample Bolt Super Soft Brilliant Colors - Soft and fluid silk scarf sewn from a sample bolt with mixed patterns. Salesmen would use these bolts to market various prints while selling kimono. The silk has been dyed with lively colors and has a hidden jacquard weave of bamboo leaves. One end has a bright blue shade and the other has a soft pink and charcoal coloring. The last photo shows a spot where the dye did not saturate; it is not a hole. Measures 70" x 6.5" wide. Stunning to look at and lovely to touch
Note: I will be sewing 3 or 4 scarves from this bolt in other colors.

Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
