Haori H185 - Wonderful shibori dyed silk kimono jacket hand-stitched by kimono makers in Japan Previously worn but exterior and interior are in good condition.
Black and white silk jacket with shibori dyeing. The base of the jacket is black and the resist dyed areas are white and form fawn dot (kanoko) shapes. In addition there are
lovely posies in red and white gracing the front panel, back of the right sleeve, and across the back.
Lined in a gorgeous soft silk with hand painted chrysanthemum, peony and the wheel of the royal cart. It's a hidden gem.
As with any shibori dyeing there are areas of dye transfer and minor patina from age. But this haori looks very fresh.
Features the traditional hanging sleeve of a kimono. Measures 52" from sleeve tip to tip. Length is 31" from back of neck and 33" including collar. Chest area is 48". Haori jackets do not wrap, are worn open. Hip area across the back is 25". Fits near size 10-12-14.
