Japanese Kimono Scarf S2840 - Navy Blue Bamboo Leaf Silk
Colorful silk from a vintage kimono panel
Slightly spongy chirimen silk with a little twist to the weave I think this is a katazome dyed fabric
Lots of different dye colors were used with butterfly and bamboo leaf patterns
There is a slight crosswise crease on one side of one end but it's pretty much hidden by the print.
Measures 63" x 6.75", shorter than most of these scarves
Japanese Kimono Scarf S2840 - Navy Blue Bamboo Leaf Silk
Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
