Japanese Kimono Scarf S4710 - Modern Black Karabana Patterned Silk
Beautiful jewel-like exotic flowers on a slightly textured jacquard weave and topped off with delicate touches of gold metallic fabric paint
The rectangular "dots" and the flowers are raised from the surface, some are red and gold, and outlined in the metallic paint.
Sewn from a vintage kimono panel
The fabric is newer than some others I show so it looks more contemporary.
Measures 58" x 6.75" wide, shorter than many scarves here
Japanese Kimono Scarf S4710 - Modern Black Karabana Patterned Silk
Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
