Haori BB6 - kimono jacket hand-stitched by kimono makers in Japan Previously worn but exterior and interior are in excellent condition.
This jacket shows virtually no wear and has only one small dark spot on the back of the right sleeve (see last photo). When worn, this area is naturally folded.
Soft white silk jacquard treated with the shibori tie dye method to resist areas which form cloud-like areas of fawn dot shibori (kanoko). These areas are raised and softly nubby.
The borders of these areas are softly blurred and the results are beautifully shaded with two shades of pink, red and coral
Lined in a soft pink and pale gold silk jacquard with cranes in the weave and dyed floral patterns. Light colored silks can oxidize and this leads to tea colored spotting on the lining.
Features the traditional hanging sleeve of a kimono. Measures 54" from sleeve tip to tip. Length is 32" from back of neck and 33" including collar. Chest area is 50".
Haori jackets do not wrap, are worn open. Hip area across the back is 26". Fits near size 12-14.
