Vintage Hand Dyed Burnt Sienna Silk Scarf: Japanese Kimono Obiage with Tiny Floral Patterns H2347
This is a traditional scarf called obiage which is worn under a Japanese obi
I found that it makes a fantastic neck scarf! This one is light weight with a lovely brown-red color and pale grey floral. The side area has metallic threads interwoven.
There is a tiny snag near the edge of one end but I clipped the fuzziness and you can no long see it much.
The edges of obiage are not sewn under, they are merely pinked.
I believe this is an unused obiage.
Measures 62" x 11" wide, a bit shorter than most of my scarves.
