Vintage Hand Dyed Silk Scarf: Japanese Kimono Obiage Shibori Dyed Burnt Orange & Peach H2304
This is a traditional scarf called obiage which is worn under a Japanese obi
I found that it makes a fantastic neck scarf! This one is light weight with lovely color combo of peach and burnt orange with a diagonal stream jacquard weave for texture. The tiny floral patterns are applied with gold metallic fabric paint.
The edges of obiage are not sewn under, they are merely pinked.
I believe this is an unused obiage and it's very lovely.
