This is a traditional scarf called obiage which is worn under a Japanese obi
I found that it makes a fantastic neck scarf! This one is light weight with lovely color gradation in copper shades with a very light cloud jacquard weave. The hand painted flowers are tipped with pale pink fabric paint.
The edges of obiage are not sewn under, they are merely pinked.
I believe this is an unused obiage.
