This is a traditional scarf called obiage which is worn under a Japanese obi
I found that it makes a fantastic neck scarf! This one is light weight in a glossy ivory silk
The middle photos show the complexity of the shibori dye process; this one with abstract shapes dyed orange.
The flatter parts have a pavement patterned jacquard weave and are very soft.
The edges of obiage are not sewn under, they are merely pinked.
Measures 56" x 12" wide (at full width), shorter than many scarves here
