Vintage Japanese Black Leather or Faux Leather Hand Bag H1643 Purse

The inside tag says "made in Korea" but I bought it from a Japanese firm.
I'm not experienced enough to tell if this is real leather or not and there was no indication from my Japanese supplier.
Measures 10" in length, 5" high and 1.5" wide at the bottom.   Lined in black velveteen fabric with 2 small pockets 
Has a long gold chain with a 22" drop but the metal is tarnished.   You can fold the chain inside to use the bag as a clutch.
