Vintage Japanese Cloth Hand Bag H1857 - Sweet Red Silk Purse Clutch
NOTE: I JUST FOUND OUT THIS BAG WON'T SNAP CLOSED so the metal must be bent.
You can still carry it though
- vintage Japanese bag with woven fabric of unknown content but feels soft and smooth and I believe it is silk
The bag has a padded woven fabric. The exterior fabric is in excellent vintage condition. You may notice tiny lint specks because the camera is so sharp. Of course, those can be brushed aside.
The red jacquard fabric has a swirl pattern with a bit of gold coloring.
The flap closes with one big snap. The inside flap has a tiny black line in the upper right corner, looking like a scratch more than a spot.
The paper inside for padding is dated 1973 so the bag is at least that old.
Measures 8.5" in length, 4.5" high and 1" wide at the bottom. Lined in gold taffeta with two tiny inside pockets
