Vintage Japanese Gold Brocade Silk Fabric Hand Bag H2259 Purse
- vintage Japanese bag with silk metallic fabric.    The threads are shiny, making it dressy in nature.
The fabric has a glow from the metallic threads which are soft gold, mint green and darker gold.      The back has similar design.   The front has a phoenix image and mixed floral designs.
The exterior & interior fabrics are in excellent vintage condition.   The bag stands up unsupported.
Measures 7.75" in length, 7" high and 2" wide.   Lined in dark gold taffeta fabric with 2 tiny pockets, one with an elastic top.   There is a curious mirror in the pocket with a Jane Shilton (classy firm in London) signature.   
Has a self fabric handle with a 5.5" drop.  
In pristine shape and I suspect has not been used.
