Vintage Japanese Gold Silk Brocade Fabric Hand Bag H1855 Purse 
- light weight vintage Japanese bag with silk and metallic threads fabric.    The threads are shiny, making it dressy in nature.  The fabric has a glow from the metallic threads in gold and ivory.
The bright design is the edge of a curved woven fence.
The metal rim is very pretty with decorative elements.
The back of the bag (photo 6) has the woven threads in similar patterns.   The bag has two small tea colored stains but they are close to the very bottom (photo 7).
Measures 9" in length at base, 5.75" high and 2" wide.   Lined in gold taffeta fabric with 2 small inside pockets.  
Has a metal chain with a 6" drop.  The braided chain is on hinges which fold flat to hide the chain inside the bag for a clutch style.  The color of the chain seems a little dark to me.  Perhaps the chain can be cleaned.
