Vintage Japanese Kimono - Black Silk Urushi Kimono Jacket- Haori- Kimono Jacket KY1172
- kimono jacket hand-stitched by kimono makers in Japan     Has been previously worn but the exterior and interior are in excellent condition.   Special occasion topper!
Smooth black silk base has a jacquard weave with raised large leaf patterns.   Also in the weave are larger leaf and floral patterns made with a technique called urushi, or lacquered threads.
These threads are metallic silver, with flowers of pink, blue and lilac, which make the jacket shiny and fancier.  
Lined in a soft silk fabric of pale gold with blossoms on the branches.
Features the traditional hanging sleeve of a kimono.  Measures 51" from sleeve tip to tip.   Length is 30.5" from back of neck and 32.5" including collar.  Chest area is 46".  Haori jackets 
do not wrap and are worn open.  Hip area across the back is 24.5".   Fits near size 8-10.
