Vintage Pepto Pink Silk Shibori Scarf: Japanese Kimono Obiage H1916 This is a traditional scarf called obiage which is worn under a Japanese obi  I found that it makes a fantastic neck scarf!   This one is dyed with gorgeous shibori method patterns. The middle photos show the complexity of the shibori dye process; this one with various shades of pink and mixed floral and geometric patterns on the diagonal. The flatter parts have a mixed floral and traditional Buddhist pattern jacquard weave and are very soft. The edges of obiage are not sewn under, they are merely pinked. Measures 52" x 11.75" wide (at full width), shorter than many scarves here
