Vintage Salmon Silk Shibori Scarf: Japanese Kimono Obiage H1956 As Is
This is a traditional scarf called obiage which is worn under a Japanese obi
I found that it makes a fantastic neck scarf! This one is light weight with intersecting lines and bamboo stalks in the puckered areas. The color is more salmon than pink.
The middle photos show the complexity of the shibori dye process where each raised area has been tied off to resist the dye.
The flatter parts have a shippo pattern jacquard weave, a symbol of 7 treasures.
Please note that the center of the obiage has two areas where the silk has been stressed a little and pulls to the side (last photo). This should not really bother anything.
The edges of obiage are not sewn under, they are merely pinked.
Measures just 49" x 12" wide (at full width), shorter than many scarves here

Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
