Vintage Silk Shibori Scarf - Japanese Kimono Obiage, Shades of Yellow H2025 A traditional scarf called obiage which is worn under a Japanese obi I found that it makes a fantastic neck scarf! This one is light weight with cloud shaped shibori dyed patterns on gradated yellow silk jacquard with a grass pattern. The middle photos show the complexity of the shibori dye process. The edges of obiage are not sewn under, they are merely pinked. Measures 54" x 12" wide (at full width), shorter than many scarves here
