I found that it makes a fantastic neck scarf! This one is light weight with gorgeous shibori dyed wave and water patterns on sage green and apricot silk jacquard with a rhombus pattern.
The middle photos show the complexity of the shibori dye process.
The edges of obiage are not sewn under, they are merely pinked.

Kimono scarves are neck scarves sewn from bolts of Japanese kimono fabric, originally intended to be made into a kimono jacket or robe. The bolts of cloth are narrow, between 12-14", so they are a natural choice for scarf making.
